I'm Kam Wang, a Year 12 student at Zhongshan Sanxin School following the Cambridge A-Level curriculum. I'm fascinated by the elegance of mathematical proofs and the creative power of programming — the intersection of the two is where the most exciting problems live.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy anime, gaming, and tinkering with side projects that combine my interests. I'm working toward studying at HKUST, where I hope to deepen my understanding of computer science grounded in strong mathematical foundations.
Pure maths, mechanics, and statistics. Enjoy calculus, series, and proof techniques.
Complex numbers, matrices, differential equations, and deeper mathematical reasoning.
Algorithms, data structures, OOP, and software development in Python.
CIE 9702 — mechanics, waves, electricity, nuclear physics. Applying maths to the real world.
Interactive CIE 9702 Physics revision — topic notes, quizzes, and progress tracking across all AS & A2 units.
20 algorithm challenges — data processing, streak detection, run-length encoding, and competition ranking.
Text-based dungeon RPG — classes, inheritance, composition, turn-based battles, inventory, and random events.
Interactive graphing tool — functions, transformations, and calculus concepts on HTML Canvas.

"I want to study where mathematical rigour meets technological innovation — HKUST is exactly that place."
HKUST's School of Engineering and School of Science offer the ideal environment for someone who thinks in equations and builds in code. The emphasis on undergraduate research, interdisciplinary projects, and the vibrant tech ecosystem in the Greater Bay Area is what draws me most.
I'm particularly interested in programmes that bridge pure mathematics and computer science — such as the BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science — where I can explore algorithms, machine learning foundations, and computational modelling alongside peers who share the same curiosity and drive.
